The role of sodium bicarbonate in feed grade
Using sodium bicarbonate as feed additive for poultry can effectively improve the digestibility, utilization rate and energy conversion of feed for poultry. A. Improve the ability to resist heat stress
In summer high temperature, poultry is often affected by external heat stress due to its own poor heat dissipation function. When the ambient temperature rises to more than 35ºC, poultry hot panting intensifies, exhales a lot of CO2, and reduces the alkali content in the blood. And sodium bicarbonate can be useful in resist heat stress.
B. Regulate the acid-base balance of the body
Sodium bicarbonate is one of the most common pH regulators in the body. Adding sodium bicarbonate to diets helps to strengthen the body's buffer. Usually poultry feed with corn as the main raw material, accounting for about 60% of the diet, so in the process of metabolism inevitably produce acid substances.
C. Improve egg production rate and eggshell strength
As a normal blood carbonate, the phosphorus levels and sodium in poultry are key to eggshell quality. Adding 0.1%~0.5% sodium bicarbonate in feed effectively improves broiler carcass grade and weight gain, significantly reducing mortality and incidence of ascites, pleurisy, gastroenteritis and other gastrointestinal diseases. When used with sulfonamides, it increases sulfonamides' solubility in urine, reducing their adverse effects on poultry kidneys and drug toxic side effects.

Application of baking soda in pig feed
Baking soda is cheap and versatile, and is often used in pig farms. Pig blood is weakly alkaline, its pH is between 7.35 and 7.45, and regular use of baking soda will play a healthy role in pig health.
Its functions and uses are as follows:
1. Stomach strengthening: Add 0.3% baking soda in the feed has a good stomach strengthening effect, enhance appetite, promote digestion. At the same time, it can buffer the irritative effect of gastric acid on gastric mucosa, and has certain preventive and therapeutic effect on gastric ulcer of pig.
2. Laxative: Adding 0.5% baking soda to the feed can stimulate intestinal peristalsis and strengthen the role of water flowing into the intestine. 3.
