1. Chelating agent: Sodium hexametaphosphate can form chelates with metal ions (such as calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.) in water or in animals, thereby reducing the precipitation or reaction of these metal ions and improving the bioavailability of minerals. This plays an important role in the physiological functions of animal bone development, digestion and absorption.

2. Anti-caking agent: During the production and storage of feed, sodium hmetaphosphate can prevent feed powder from caking and ensure the fluidity and uniformity of feed, especially for feed raw materials with high humidity, which can effectively maintain the quality and operability of feed.
