Description:
There are two types of iron oxides, natural and man-made. Naturally called Xihong, it is basically pure iron oxide and is a red powder. Due to the different production methods and operating conditions, their crystal structures and physical properties are very different, and the color and luster vary from orange to blue to violet. Great hiding power and tinting power. Density 5-5.25. It has excellent light resistance and high temperature resistance, and is resistant to atmospheric influence, foul gas, and all alkalis. It will only gradually dissolve when heated in concentrated acid.
Application:
Used in many types of paints, including anti-rust paint, water-soluble indoor/outdoor paints and oil-based paints.
Used for dyeing construction materials, such as mosaic bricks, for
concrete bricks, pavement, colorful tiles, roofing tiles and man-made marble.
Colors for ceramic body.
Used in paper industry, esp. rice paper.
Used for surface coloration of plastic epoxy floor, color for pitch.
Used as a more fade-resistant dye for plastics.
